July 22, 2009 – Vol.14 No.18 enXco Signs Power Purchase Agreement with Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL) for 201 MW Wind Energy Project. With the agreement signed enXco will develop, build, and own the Lakefield Wind Project consisting of 134 GE 1.5 MW turbines while IPL will purchase the power generated under a 20-year power purchase agreement. The project, expected to be operational by the end of 2010, will be operated and maintained by enXco Service Corporation. “This agreement between enXco and IPL builds on the experience our two companies attained through the development of the 106 MW Hoosier Wind Project in Benton County, Indiana which is currently under construction. Both projects have excellent access to the high-voltage network in the Midwest allowing customers in Indianapolis to benefit from two of the premier wind-energy basins in the country. We are pleased to extend an already successful relationship with IPL and to continue to add renewable resources to the energy supply mix in the Upper Midwest,” said Tristan Grimbert, president & CEO of enXco.
