March 22, 2008 – Vol. 12 No. 52 Thompson Hine Launches Fuel Cell Patent Website. The website contains an archive of US patents and published patent applications that may be of interest to the fuel cell community. The database, organized by a patent owner, will be updated by Thompson Hine regularly. The ongoing efforts of industry, academia and government have resulted in the development of applications for fuel cells ranging from aerospace to automotive and personal electronics to point-of-use power generation. The fuel cell industry has been growing as interest in alternative forms of energy continues to drive research and development.
Victor J. Wasylyna, the lawyer who compiled the website said, “I believe that the website will be a valuable tool to track developments in such areas as nanofiber membranes, catalysis and hydrogen generation.” Thompson Hine’s Intellectual Property group serves companies that are active in fuel cell technology by assisting them in the protection of valuable intellectual property assets and in obtaining funding to support their research efforts. They offer wide-ranging experience in procuring, exploiting and protecting all forms of intellectual property in the United States and abroad. Thompson Hine LLP was established in 1911. (3/21/08)
