Eden Energy To Install and Supply India’s First Public Hydrogen Fueling Station.

IndianOil Corporation selected Eden, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Hythane Company, to build the $1 million retail outlet to be sited in the heart of Delhi at one of India’s busiest natural gas fueling stations. The station, to be complete in fall 2008, will produce, store, blend, and dispense Hythane (R) as well as hydrogen to power natural gas vehicles, including buses, cars, and trucks.

Hythane (R) is a patented mixture of hydrogen and natural gas that provides a dramatic reduction in nitrous oxide emissions. There are an estimated 7 million natural gas vehicles and 10,000 natural gas fueling stations worldwide that present an extensive market for this optimized blend of hydrogen and natural gas that is significantly less expensive than diesel fuel or gasoline, and offers near-zero emissions, according to the company.

India has set a target of having at least 20 percent of all vehicles operate on hydrogen-based fuel by 2020 – an estimated one million vehicles.

“India’s first hydrogen fueling station will be a showcase for public access to this environmentally beneficial alternative fuel,” said Eden Energy’s Executive Chairman Greg Solomon. “We expect to expand here rapidly to present a model to the world in which Hythane (R) is the fuel of choice in a thriving hydrogen economy.”

Eden Energy Ltd. is a diversified clean energy company providing global alternative energy solutions. The company focuses on producing, storing, and delivering hydrogen to market to power hydrogen-based transportation.

IndianOil Corporation is India’s largest commercial enterprise and widely recognized as the nation’s dominant energy brand. (2/4/08)
