Environmental Power Completes North America's Largest Renewable Natural Gas Facility.

The Huckabay Ridge facility in Stephenville, Texas is expected to produce approximately 635,000 MMBtus (million British thermal units) of renewable natural gas (RNG(R)) per year as well as generate carbon credits, per protocols being established with the Chicago Climate Exchange.

The facility generates methane-rich biogas from manure and other agricultural waste, conditions the biogas to natural gas standards and distributes the RNG(R) via a commercial pipeline. All eight of the digesters at Huckabay Ridge are operational and producing biogas which is being conditioned for sale.

Huckabay Ridge will deliver up to 2,000 MMBtu of gas per day to Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) under a 10- year purchase agreement.

Environmental Power Corporation is a developer, owner and operator of renewable energy production facilities. Its principal operating subsidiary, Microgy, Inc., holds an exclusive license in North America for the development and deployment of a proprietary anaerobic digestion technology for the extraction of methane gas from animal wastes and other organic waste for its use to generate energy.
