GlobalGreen Energy Lights Yakima, Washington With LED Street Lights.

The 100-watt high power LED street lights have replaced the 200-watt high pressure sodium lights at one of the City's busiest traffic intersection for both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The installation is part of the city's effort to decrease power consumption and reduce carbon emissions.

Mayor Dave Edler, and former Major League Baseball player for the Seattle Mariners, said, "The City of Yakima is always searching for innovative and creative ways to provide services as efficiently as possible. Using LED technology in street lights might seem like a small change to the average person, but it makes a big difference to the City by lowering energy costs and providing other environmental benefits. It's definitely a positive thing for our community."

GGE's 100-watt model provides ultra-white lighting, improving color rendering and night visibility 400%-1000% over traditional street lighting. The superior LED eliminates night glare and produces no light pollution. The lights have a 15-year maintenance-free product life, consume 40-70% less energy than conventional street lamps to reduce carbon emissions the equivalent of 14 months of driving.

GlobalGreen Energy Corp. based in the San Francisco, California with manufacturing facilities in China, is a provider of innovative renewable energy products and services for the private, municipal and governmental sectors. The company is privately held.
