TerraCuro Software Helps Meet Energy and Greenhouse Gas Reduction Goals.

The PC software provides users with running summaries for energy usage, energy savings and CO2 footprint and determines if users are, or have become, carbon dioxide neutral.

Users keep track of their energy consumption as inputs in the Dashboard view that has over 20 energy use and carbon dioxide generation areas which are part of day to day living. Each user also has a Personal Climate Intensity (PCI) rating which reflects whether they are CO2 neutral as well as providing a ratio of personal climate gas balance to energy used. With the software, and 15 minutes of weekly use, users can see the results of their personal, day-to-day efforts to cut greenhouse gases.

Program users can optionally participate in the program’s reporting feature to upload monthly energy and climate gas improvement results. TerraCuro will begin publishing group results on its website in 2008. The company has set a 1 billion ton per year CO2 reduction goal for its community of users.
