Enova Systems/Wrightbus Partnership to Provide an Additional Six Hybrid Buses to the City of London.

The Electrocity buses will join six already in revenue service in the UK city. The Electrocity incorporates Enova’s 120kW Series Hybrid drive system which is powered by Enova’s 60kW Genset. Enova’s 120kW Hybrid Drive System has already been installed in the initial buses. Those single deck buses operate on London’s 360 route, from the Elephant Castle to the Royal Albert Hall.

The first hybrid drive Electrocity bus was delivered to London Central in February 2006

“Electrocity offers the market a clean bus with ultra low emissions to help address the issues of global warming and air quality, while giving operators reductions in their daily operating costs,” Wrightbus officials noted.

Enova Systems is an early stage production company and a leading developer of proprietary electric, hybrid and fuel cell digital power management systems.

Wrightbus is a division of Wright Group. The Wright Group is the United Kingdom's leading supplier of accessible buses for public transportation systems throughout the country. (10/16/07)
