Nuvera Fuel Cells -- Three Nuvera Fuel Cell-Powered Fiat Panda Cars Delivered to the Municipality of Mantova, Italy.

The three hydrogen fueled Pandas were presented alongside an ENI multi-fuel refilling station offering pressurized hydrogen. The cars are part of the Zero Regio project aimed at developing and demonstrating zero emission road transport systems in normal daily use in Mantova, Italy, and Frankfurt, Germany.

The delivery of the Panda fuel cell cars began the demonstration phase of the project. Funded by the European Commission, the project will contribute to the objective of the Commission of replacing 5% of motor fuel in road transport by hydrogen by the year 2020.

The vehicles will serve the city of Mantova in a number of different civic applications. Data from operation of the fleet will be collected and analyzed.

The cars, built by Centro Ricerche Fiat (CRF), include Nuvera's Andromeda fuel cell stack.

Nuvera Fuel Cells is developer multi-fuel processing and fuel cell technologies. The company has offices in the US and Italy. (9/21/07)
