ICP Solar to Acquire WES Power.

The solar product manufacturer has signed agreement to buy maker of renewable power performance management systems.

Currently all of the ICP Solar chargers come with Plug’n’Play (tm) for quick connectivity, several adaptors for different applications including the GreenMeter(tm), made by WES Power Technology. GreenMeter includes desktop software that records and displays the power generated from panels and up to the minute information on greenhouse gas savings.

WES Power Technology Inc. of St. John's, Newfoundland, also manufactures a hybrid energy controller that manages energy inputs from two separate sources, wind and solar for instance. WES Power is privately held.

ICP Solar, of Montreal, Canada, is a developer, manufacturer and marketer of solar cells and solar cell based products and building materials. (8/28/07)
