--- Electric Vehicles International (EVI) seeks vendors as it ramps up in preparation for increased demand in 2013. Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC) has joined forces with EVI in an effort to Co-Promote its all-electric Walk-In Van, which is built on an FCCC chassis. As part of this effort, FCCC and EVI will jointly work together to target electric vehicle compatible fleets. Several states including California and New York and most recently the City of Chicago have begun offering much needed deployment incentives to companies willing to be early adopters of electric medium duty trucks. EVI, realizing a rich market opportunity, is also currently considering expanding its enterprise into the Midwest.

The company seeks innovative products at the most competitive pricing. Accordingly, EVI will be inviting all perspective vendors to submit a competitive bid for the products listed below:

--- Motors
--- Controllers
--- Charging systems
--- EVSE (Electrical Vehicle Supply Equipment)
--- Die Casting and Metal fabrication

Details of Bid process

1. On March 1, 2013 all current suppliers will receive the open bid process invitation and anticipated 2013 product volumes.

2. Please provide EVI with the requested price bid or a letter indicating that you do not wish to quote a price for the 2013 competitive bid. 2013 bids are due to EVI by 4:00pm on Friday, March 22(nd) 2013.

3. Vendors will be notified of accepted proposals once all of the quotes have been reviewed and verified.

--- The Carbon War Room (CWR), Homer Energy, and Reznick Think Energy, LLC (RTE) have launched a request for proposals (RFP) on behalf of Virgin Limited Edition for the provision of renewable energy and energy services on Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, home of Sir Richard Branson. The goals of the RFP are to reduce and/or eliminate the use of fossil fuels for electricity on Necker Island and to install systems that provide savings and reduce costs on the island.

The successful implementation of renewable energy systems on the island will represent the centerpiece for the Sir Richard Branson and Carbon War Room’s ‘10 Island Challenge’ commitment made at Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, in June 2012, which seeks to assist 10 island nations around the world to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels by 2020.

The Request for Proposal has two phases of bids:

Phase 1: Engineering and design solutions for a 750 kW of solar PV in an open field, 8 kW of PV on the Great House, and Solar Carports.

Phase 2: Indicative bids sought for a wind turbine, significant load controls and batteries, and an overall energy supply and management contract.

Virgin Limited Edition will purchase all services and products from one party or multiple products and services from a variety of parties, and the selected bidders will have the ability to take advantage of significant marketing opportunities throughout the project’s lifecycle and beyond. All respondents will be able to access the entire RFP or sections of the RFP after signing a Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA) and paying an administration fee.

Due date April 5,2013
