WORLD WIND WATCH.
FPL Energy will begin construction immediately of the 49.5-megawatt Wilton Wind Energy Center near Wilton in Burleigh County, North Dakota. The project will have 33 1.5 megawatt turbines and all of the power generated will be sold to Basin Electric Power Cooperative.
The Wilton project will be FPL’s third in the state. The others are the 40.5- megawatt North Dakota Wind Energy Center and the 21-megawatt North Dakota Wind II project. The company is the largest generator of wind power in the U.S. Visit FPL at http://www.fplenergy.com/
