SHOP ONLINE:BUILD GREEN POWER.

Tired of high gas prices? Don’t go to the mall. Stay at home and buy online. Let the package delivery company pay the fuel bill.

That’s one way to save energy and money. Now, you can save energy AND help build new green power by simply making an online purchase.

In program called Our Energy, the Renewable Energy Center of Grand Rapids, Michigan has found more than 700 (and growing) businesses that are willing to contribute a percentage of each online Internet sale towards the construction of new renewable capacity in the United States and Canada.

The participating companies are impressive, Home Depot, Barnes and Noble, Macy’s, Office Max, Peapod to name a few.

Consumers get to chose where the money contributed by the participating online retailer gets sent. The receiving organizations, such as utility companies and renewable energy providers, are equally impressive.

Internet shoppers who have enrolled in the program use an online tool to watch their purchases contribute to new green power. Visit Our Energy at http://www.ourenergy.us/ or http://www.ourenergycanada.com/
