GEOTHERMAL FOR IDAHO.

Here’s some news that rarely makes the pages of this publication - a new geothermal power plant.

(Though it should. Geothermal energy, unlike renewable energies like solar and wind, can generate power 24/7.)

US Geothermal has placed a letter of intent with Ormat Nevada for the purchase of a turnkey 13-megawatt geothermal power project that will be located at Raft River, Idaho. Potentially the Raft River site could produce 90 megawatts of power from 6.5 square miles of property owned by US Geothermal.

In the terms of the letter Ormat will supply the equipment, interim financing and construction services.

Ormat has been in the geothermal energy business for more than 3 decades. Visit Ormat at http://www.ormat.com/ , US Geothermal at http://www.usgeothermal.com/ .
