THE FIRST FUEL CELL FAMILY.

Honda has delivered the first fuel cell vehicle to an individual customer: the Spallino family living in greater Los Angeles.

The family will be the first consumers to use California’s Hydrogen Highway - the state’s small network of hydrogen filling stations now under construction. The leased 2005 Honda FCX has a range of 190 miles on 3.75 kilograms of compressed hydrogen.

A few other individual families will be selected to lease the vehicles this year. The Spallinos will pay only $500 per month to lease the car for two years. The lease covers insurance, maintenance and use of the vehicle.

In 2003 the estimated cost of each FCX was $2,000,000. The Spallinos are sure to be careful drivers. Visit Honda at http://www.hondanews.com/
