PACKAGED SOLAR PRODUCTS: MORE ON THE WAY?
Plug and play packaged solar power solutions certainly have their appeal. Construction crews regularly use solar-powered signs to warn drivers of conditions ahead. A wide array of solar-powered outdoor lights dot the shelves of home improvement stores. And Carmanah Technologies seems to be very busy selling street signs and bus shelters illuminated by solar-powered light emitting diodes (LED).
Now Carmanah is expanding its experience in solar solutions by purchasing another company already experienced in the field. The company has announced it will acquire Soltek PowerSource (SPS) of Victoria, British Columbia. SPS is Canada’s largest supplier of solar systems and solar related equipment as well as other green power products such as super energy-efficient refrigerators, micro-hydro systems and small wind turbines.
Packaged solar solutions seem a good way for consumers and businesses to begin tapping the power of the Sun without the need and costs of designing their own solar solutions. Visit Carmanah at http://www.carmanah.com/ SPS at http://www.spsenergy.com/
