SOLAR CAPACITY GROWS.

With an AUD 8 million ($6.3 million) investment, BP Solar will up the production capacity of its Sydney (Australia) Olympic Park solar manufacturing plant from 40 megawatts to 50 megawatts annual production.

The capacity increase is part of BP Solar’s game plan to increase global solar production capacity from 90 to 200 megawatts by 2006.

The Sydney Olympic Park facility recorded over AUD 90 million ($70.8 million) in export sales in 2004, employs 300 directly and indirectly supports 9000 through supply and distribution channels. Visit BP Solar at http://www.bpsolar.com/ .
