Horns Rev (Horns Reef), the 160-megawatt offshore wind farm in the North Sea (currently the world’s largest) is set for a major expansion.

The Danish Energy Authority is seeking interested developers to add 400 megawatts - two 200-megawatt additions - to the facility 14-20 kilometers (9 -12 miles) off the west coast of Denmark. Requests to Participate for pre-qualification are due September 2, 2004. Visit the Danish Energy Authority at http://www.ens.dk and Horns Rev at http://www.hornsrev.dk/ (Excellent detail and photos of the construction and operation of Horns Rev at this site.)
