POINTS OF INTEREST.
A weekly collection of websites worth visiting.
As everyone who has undertaken a home improvement project knows; it takes more than one trip to the store to get the job done - a frustrating waste of time and energy. Time lost is gone forever. Fuel wasted (on those multiple trips to the paint - hardware - home improvement store) is also gone forever.)
Here’s one service that should reduce the number of trips to your paint retailer (Though I’ll bet the company never considered the energy-saving aspect of it.)
Benjamin Moore Paints offers the Benjamin MooreĈ Paints Personal Color Viewer Professional software. With it you can take a digital picture of the room you’d like to paint, upload it to your PC (Sorry no Mac software.) and see how your room looks in any one of the 3000 colors offered by the company.
Neat huh? That should save a trip or two to the paint store to choose the right color. The price of the CD or download is only $10, less than the cost of second trip to the store. Still feel that’s too much? Ask your Ben Moore dealer to pony up and buy it. The CD itself can be ordered online or through a dealer.
( Even if you don’t use Ben Moore paints, use the software to pick a color, match that color with another brand. A companion version of the software is available online, but it doesn’t allow you to upload pictures of your room.)
It’s the little things than can save precious fuel. This is one of them. Visit Benjamin Moore paints http://www.benjaminmoore.com/ .
