POINTS OF INTEREST.

A weekly collection of websites worth visiting.

Last week this section focused on the the Energy Efficient Rehab Advisor operated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Well, on the Internet one link leads to another, and the Rehab Advisor led to Toolbase Services which describes itself as the housing industry's resource for technical information on building products, materials, new technologies, business management, and housing systems.

It’s one of those endless sites with a myriad of information, but of particular interest for those interested in green buildings is PATH (Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing). PATH describes itself as a public-private initiative dedicated to accelerating the development and use of technologies that radically improve the quality, durability, energy efficiency, environmental performance, and affordability of America's housing.

Be sure to find the PATH Technology Inventory Index, a superb listing (with even more links) of every conceivable technology that could be used to build cleaner, greener homes. Visit Toolbase at http://www.toolbase.org/
