CALIFORNIA’S HYDROGEN HIGHWAYS.
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed an executive order launching the Hydrogen Highway Network Initiative. While the Initiative doesn’t actually begin building a network of hydrogen filling stations (there’s no money allocated for that) it does order the state’s Environmental Protection Agency to develop a plan by year’s end to transition the state to a hydrogen economy.
The Hydrogen Highway Network, if built, would include 150 -200 hydrogen filling stations - one every 20 miles or so along major highways in the state. Visit the Initiative at http://www.hydrogenhighway.ca.gov/
