According to a new, free report from Fuel Cell Today there are about 650 large stationary fuel cells operating worldwide, with 65 of them installed in 2003 alone. The newest additions to the fleet include molten carbonate fuel cells (MCFC) and solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC).

The report gives a detailed analysis of the stationary fuel cell sector including the rate of adoption, the region of development and funding, types of fuel used and profiles of the manufacturers.
