THE SOLAR GUY.

When it comes to a home repair, a remodeling project, a renovation, or the construction of a completely new home, homeowners often rely on the advice and recommendation of contractors or technicians from all the various trades. Electricians, plumbers, builders as well as heating,ventilating and air conditioning contractors all help in the planning process of maintaining, improving or building a home.

Yet how often does a contractor recommend a solar system for a new project or as a solution to a specific situation? Probably not often enough.

Sharp Solar would like to change that, and build sales, by offering a certified training program for the installation and testing of photovoltaic solar systems to licensed contractors. The three-day, $400 program offers hands-on training for the installation of roof-top solar systems at its Huntington Beach, California facility and will begin programs at its national headquarters in Mahwah, New Jersey this summer and at its production plant in Memphis, Tennessee at an undetermined date.

Sharp Solar is the world’s largest manufacturer of photovoltaic products with an estimated 24 percent market share.
