JUMPED HURDLE?

Energy Conversion Devices (ECD) is working on a fuel cell design of its own - and mum is the word on exactly how its Ovonic Regenerative Fuel Cell works. But apparently below-freezing operation isn’t a concern. They claim that their design operates in a temperature range of -20 to 120 degrees C.

ECD, which is developing fuel cells for portable and stationary applications of between 50 watts and 1 kilowatt (with transportation applications later) has just purchased Texaco Energy Systems interest in the company for the grand sum of $1.00. Texaco Ovonic Fuel Cell Company is no more. The new company will be known as Ovonic Fuel Cell Company. Visit ECD at http://ovonic.com/ .
