HYBRIDS FOR MUNICIPALITIES.

Toyota is reporting that of the 100,000 Prius hybrid sedans sold more than 1100 have gone to city and state governments. The City and State of New York has purchased 574 since last year, California has 113, the State of Washington 92, Houston 62, Los Angeles 52, Oregon 46, San Francisco 22, Austin 21, Florida 19, Nevada 19, Colorado 18, Denver 15, Missouri 12, San Antonio 11 and Maine 5. Other smaller cities such as Vail, Colorado and Mesquite, Texas have ordered one or two of the 52-miles-per-gallon-in-the-city sedans for use by employees. Visit Toyota at http://www.toyota.com/
