EXPANDING SOLAR BUSINESS.

The Pew report doesn’t also look at the level of interest the business community is having towards renewables - and subsequently emissions reductions. There’s a future in this stuff and many in business know it.

Sharp Electronics, the world’s largest manufacturer of solar energy products will open a production facility in the U.S. in Memphis, Tennessee. The facility will be operating by the Spring of 2003 and will assemble modules for sale in all sectors - on and off grid residential, commercial and industrial markets.

The company is encouraged by a report offered through U.S. Department of Energy which claims that 80,000 U.S. homes could be powered by solar by 2010, up from 10,000 homes today which use solar in some capacity. Sharp wants a portion of that market. Visit Sharp at http://www.sharpusa.com/ .
