GM’S LATEST CONCEPT.

To GM’s credit it has introduced another fuel cell concept car. And this one is drivable.

Hy-wire is based on the AUTOnomy concept where the fuel cell, drive system and most other components are built into a skateboard-like chassis only 11 inches thick. The car has working one-hand (no feet needed, there are no brake or accelerator pedals) drive-by-wire controls, a 94-kilowatt fuel cell stack, and three 5000 psi hydrogen storage tanks. Hy-wire weighs in at slightly over two tons.

This is just a concept car - not available at dealers anytime soon. Visit GM Media at http://www.media.gm.com/
