SOLAR PROJECTS.
The largest solar project in South New Jersey is now online. The 52-kilowatt system, known as Green Mountain Energy (sm) Southern New Jersey, with 1330 PV panels is built atop the BJ’s Wholesale Club store in Deptford. The array is owned and operated by Sun Power Electric and power is sold by Green Mountain Energy.
Nuon Renewable Ventures and Green Mountain Energy has unveiled the largest solar facility in Dallas,Texas. The 58-kilowatt array is built atop The Winston School, a coeducational college preparatory school and is paid for, in part, by Green Mountain’s Big Texas Sun Club Members. The school will include the economics of solar energy in its curriculum. The Array is owned and operated by Nuon, based in The Netherlands. Power from the array is delivered to the grid.
The two companies are also partnering on a 43-kilowatt solar array in Houston as well as projects in Cleveland, Ohio and Bridgeport Connecticut.
